A must read

Mix up one orphan lady, one kind vet and one ornery dog. Stir well with impossible situations and let love bake them all for a few months. The finished product will amaze you. Sarah, Grant and Rocky find love in Home At Last. Curl up with it on a nice fall day and fall in love all over again. Good job, Ms. Watters.

Message of Forgiveness

Have you ever read a book and felt like you couldn't connect with a character, on some or any level? Home at Last's author helps with that connection. Almost everyone, at some point in their lives, has experienced love, failure, discovery, guilt and compassion. She tells a story that is simple and unpretentious but its humanity and message of forgivenss is heart-warming.

Very Uplifting!

This is a great read on a cloudy cold Sunday afternoon (there are many in Chicago). Although I've never classified myself as an animal lover, I loved this book and found myself not only interested in the lives of the two-legged characters, but the four-legged ones as well.

Wonderful!

It's hard not to love a book that illustrates so well how the love for animals can change your life. Home at Last is a well-written, quick-read book. It makes you cheer for the underdog, cry at the disappointments but leaves you with a very happy, satisfied feeling in the end. I highly recommend this book.

This one's a winner.........

The book jacket states that Ms. Watters at age 12 borrowed a romance novel from her older sister and later decided to write her own romance novels. I'm glad she did. This is an excellent well-written book - a quick read on a hot afternoon. The author certainly knows her animals. She could have been describing some of the many animals in our house when the kids were growing up - except for the pregnant ferret! I don't think we had one of those - at least I hope not. Some characters in the book are funny, wacky and familiar and found in any family. This is a book that can be read and enjoyed by all ages. I'll be looking forward to more books by Kim Watters.
