Home Again (Silhouette Romance)

This is a book that will make you think. It is a Silhouette Romance and not very long, but the author has packed quite a punch into those pages. The story is about a woman named Nikki Fox and her ex-teacher Ken Blackwell. When Nikki was a teen-ager, Ken was her chemistry teacher. He thought she was a twirler because she didn't make good grades. Years later, when Ken hears about Nikki coming back, he doesn't know what to make of it. An underachiever, now a teacher? What could the school board be thinking? The whole book, he reluctantly falls in love with Nikki, thinking that she is very beautiful and charming, but not very smart. It is only at the end of the book that Ken finds out that Nikki was diagnosed with a learning disorder, dyslexia, and realises how he had failed Nikki and many others by not looking under the surface for what was at the root of Nikki's learning problems. A good book I wouldn't regret for all teachers to read!!
