The Convention of 1787 was the most brilliant and subtle coup d'?tat in history. The nationalist framers designed a strong government, guaranteed through purposely ambiguous verbiage. Many readers... This description may be from another edition of this product.

Wow! What a eye opener!

Most libertarians, such as myself, hold the Constitution as the panacea of liberty and freedom. However, how has our government become so large and almost monster-like in size? Why is it that our Bill of Rights are constantly under attack? Is it because we are still under the Emergency War powers act?...maybe...but how are we still under a War Powers act? Even before 911. Why does it seem that the government can carte blanche create 60,000 laws a year and many of them "apparently" anti-Constitutional. The Constitution can be seen as a legal Trust. The Asset was Liberty, the benefactor was the people, the signators where the founding fathers and the government was the executor of the trust. Somebody seems to have defaulted (and "is" defaulting) on their job...hmmm..is it the government or is it "We the people"...I'll let you decide. Read the constitution, do some reading and ask yourself, "Is our government the same one invisioned in 1789 in the Constitution?" Well, if you say no, then you must ask "how" did it happen. Look no further, "Hologram of Liberty" will educate thoroughly. The devil is in the details and the details are the maleability of legal fictions. Anyone who holds Alexander Hamilton in high regard, will no longer after reading this and performing additional research. Bravo Kenneth, Bravo...

Lets Wake Up to Reality

This book woke me up from my parchment worshipping slumber. This will definately change the way you view the Constitution and our Founding Fathers. If you believe that our current government is violating the Constitution and overstepping the strict checks and balances that were designed to keep it under control, you better think again: "The Constitution has either authorized such a government as we have had, or has been powerless to prevent it." - Lysander Spooner - No Treason We must understand that the Constitution was never designed to protect us from Federal tyranny run amok. If you can handle the truth no matter how hard it may be to swallow, read this book.

Excellent Expose' of the Constitution

Kenneth Royce does a brilliant job of exposing the US Constitution for what it really is: a government that centralizes all power in the Federal government. Royce takes you from the Revolution to the ratification of the Constitution showing how the Articles of Confederation were totally destroyed. As pointed out by Royce this should be called a national, not federal government. The Constitution provides the framework for an unlimited government instead of a confederate republic.Royce correctly shows Hamilton's designs for a all powerful, monarchial central government with which to submerge the states.Hamilton is shown in his true light as a tool for the merchant class, banks, corporations, and the ruling elite of the new republic. Along with other Federalists he is shown manipulating public opinion through scare tactics and propaganda. Standing against him were the anti-federalists, and Thomas Jefferson, a true votary of human liberty. Although this book can be depressing it is a must read for a patriot.

Can YOU Handle the truth?

Boston's "Hologram of Liberty" is both highly informative, yet very disturbing. Time to get disturbed! If liberties activists wonder why they constantly 'spin their wheels' against the beuracratic control machine, "Hologram" lays out precisely why, and in an easy-to-follow format as with all Boston T. Party books. America is a much different place than what we have been fooled into believing. The Matrix of deception has been pulled over our eyes, and we have been enslaved as mere batteries to the machines that control us. But we can, and will prevail in the end. Not only does "Mr. Royce" outline the problems w/ the constitutions framers own quotes and examples of why we are nearly under totalitarian control, but he offers real, and effective solutions based on those real problems. Now, if we could only get the socialists who run the schools to get this book to the kids, we'd have a formidable force for freedom and a return to liberty. Fat chance! Bottom line, get this book to everyone you know, fast! Thanks Ken, See ya on the frontlines...

Understanding the New Leviathan

Royce's "Hologram of Liberty" provides the best explanation I have seen concerning why we now live in a nation where flack-jacketed SWAT teams can kill you(accidentally, of course) on the mere suspicion that you possess drugs, with no consequence to themselves, and why all of your possessions can be confiscated without you being charged with a crime. The problem is primarily ideological and attitudinal--the peoples' belief in liberty was what supported the Constitutional idea for 200 years. But, Royce points out that the Constitution contains elements (Treaty clause, Interstate Commerce clause, Executive Orders, and others) that have enabled the statists and their accumulation of almost absoute power. The implication of Royce's extensive and erudite examination is that our Constitution is now more of a threat to than a protector of our liberty. The solution is primarily educational, but also to make fundamental changes to the Constitution, to make it what most citizens thought it was at the time of its writing (except the anti-federalists, of course). That seems to be the only road to salvation, but will require the focused efforts of all libertarian and conservative groups. "Hologram of Liberty" is the most important book I have read in forty years of libertarianism. I recommend it with great enthusiasm. The book needs greater exposure. Its theme is the key to arresting continued growth of the new leviathan.
