It may of been trashy, brainless, tawdry melodrama but I loved this book! Jackie takes all the stereotypes of Hollywood celebrities and throws them together into a glamor-packed soup of gossip and subplots! Like a 500-page tabloid! The characters are all true-to-form spoiled, self-obsessed divas. The goings on are appropriately scandalous. The many talents and many husbands, the wild rich kids, the gay followers, it's all here!The perfect Hollywood novel it may not have much substance but since that's what's expected of its subjects it's just perfect!

My husband took care of the kids for the day and a half that it took me to read this book. I could NOT put it down.

Oh my gosh! Hollywood Wives the New Generation was my first Jackie Collins book, and what a way to hook me in! I usually don't read romance novels but I just couldn't put this one down. The characters were more outlandish and scandalous than I ever could imagine but it was fun to get caught up in the lives of Lissa, Nicci, Gregg, and the rest of the crew. The book was yummy and definitely not my last Jackie Collins book. I am going to read all of them, I only hope they can live up to Hollywood Wives!

The title says it all! I wish Jackie Collins could write faster! Her books are all a wonderful escape from reality.

Will Eric succeed in abducting Nicci? Jackie Collins is a strange phenomenon that defies the logic of literature. Though the readers know its fluff, Ms. Collins somehow hooks you for no logical reason into a one-sitting read in which you feel totally entertained but not sure why. The HOLLYWOOD WIVES -- THE NEW GENERATION fits that classification as the story contains two intriguing major subplots and three other unnecessary but enticing minor subplots. Ms. Collins has done it again, as her fans will savor her latest contemporary fiction. Will the audience finally understand why we love Ms. Collins? Harriet Klausner
