than 1,500 witty and caustic quotes from the mouths of Hollywood's biggest personalities. "Remarks so scorching you might want to read it with a fire extinguisher."--USA Today. This description may be from another edition of this product.
As the title suggest, Hollywood Babble On : Stars Gossip About Other Stars is a gossipy book. It's filled with a ton of quotes from the rich and famous . This is the sort of book you'd probably read while lounging at home, at the beach or maybe while waiting for a flight. Obviously, not deep and meaningful , but somewhat entertaining.
Love these books by Boze

I have bought a couple of these books because after buying one I had to by two more. Great to just pick up & read a few pages of what celebs have to say about each other. Great entertainment! Makes me realize these celebs are even crazier & sometimes more egotistical than I ever thought.
Talk About A Guilty Pleasure

When I was a kid, my grandmother introduced me to the movies. Consequently, I absolutely LOVE those old Hollywood movie stars. (I'll take Bette Davis over Meryl Streep any day of the week.) Hadeleigh's gossipy tome brought to light Hollywood stories that I had never heard before. Once I opened the book, I couldn't put it down. I sent a copy to my aunt, who then loaned it to her daughter. They both had the same reaction I did -- it's an absolute guilty pleasure to read! More, please!

A wonderful collection of mostly bitchy quotes from stars on stars, stars on directors, directors on stars, etc. Most of it was taken with a grain of salt by this reader though, since I tend to doubt the veracity of much that is quoted by reporters - especially entertainment reporters. A few more quotes of a friendly, more supportive nature would've been nice to find (I'm just as fascinated by Hollywood freindships as I am with thier fueds) -but I guess "that's showbiz, kids"! This book is an excellent way to spend half an hour.
GOSSIP, GOSSIP, GOSSIP.....

One of the most delicious reads you could have from the biggest blabbermouth on the planet, "Babble On" is delightful. I was fortunate to get an out-of-print hardback copy. The book is in excellent condition and the packaging couldn't have been safer. I had been looking for this book for years and it was always sold out everywhere until it finally went out of print. I wasn't looking for truth and wisdom when I sought this book out. I was looking for a good old salacious read and that's what I got. "Babble On" is consistently interesting and often hilarious. Just how factual the quotes are I couldn't say, but I couldn't put it down. Let's face it, pretentiousness can be very funny and Hadleigh delivers the goods here.
Catty and candid.
