Book Overview

A yaoi romance between a good boy who didn't know he was waiting for a hero, and a bad boy who comes to his rescue! Now a hit streaming anime!

As they take the dive into "marriage mode," Masahiro and Kousuke waste no time getting comfy as cohabitants. Just as their issues finally seem to be behind them, Kousuke's mother disrupts their peace with a single remark: "There's something we need to talk about." Is the cat out of the bag...?!...

Hitorijime My Hero Volume 11 (“You Can Do Whatever You Want to Me”)

Masahiro is in bliss until the realization hits him of what he did the other night with Kousuke and that Kousuke's parents don't know about their engaged relationship. Masahiro confides in the boys (Asaya, Ken, Shige, Yamabe, Chairman Yoshida, and Yunge) while they visit a bathhouse. Kousuke tells Masahiro he will discuss their relationship with his parents, Takamori and Miho. Hearing this, Yunge and Shirou drag Masahiro on a stealth mission. It's ironic how Masahiro attempts to avoid gangsters like Toru but winds up amidst Shirou's gang, who took care of Yunge. Every gang member called Yunge Bambino. I love the name of Shirou's business, Arm Twisting Real Estate. Anyway, the critical question is whether Masahiro's and Yunge's disguises will work, or will Kousuke unmask his stalkers? How will Kousuke's parents react when Kousuke informs them of his partner Masahiro? Will they accept Masahiro as their son-in-law, causing Masahiro to change his last name to Ohshiba? Of course, you can't expect the father and son to be in the same room without some animosity. Kousuke argues with his father about the order of their relationship milestones. For example, Kousuke and Masahiro living together before they get married or before Masahiro graduates from school. Takamori feels relieved when his close coworker Otonashi picks him up, and he uses that as an escape. In my opinion, Masahiro already feels like he's a part of the Ohshiba family. The guys have been listening to Dad Masahiro's orders and Mom Masahiro's worries for the past eleven volumes. Ken calls Masahiro "Dad" anyway, and I love how he behaves as the boys' dad (Asaya's, Ken's, Shige's, Yamabe's, Chairman Yoshida's, and Yunge's). As a side note, the mysterious supplier of Kousuke's weird shirts is revealed in this volume edition, not to mention, Asaya's and Ayaka's parents. Interestingly, Onda is a secretary to a politician, Asaya's father, Seishuu, who doesn't seem to have a strong connection with his son or his wife, Akiko. Onda portrays Akiko as a strict, unforgiving woman. Additionally, Yunge discovers how Natsuo acts when drunk. All of this content is inside one book; it's all so exciting. Memeco Arii keeps the story coming. Whatever the outcome, I'm glad that Kousuke is honest with his parents about his relationship with Masahiro. I agree with Ken that it would be nice if Kousuke, Masahiro, Asaya, Ken, Takamori (maybe), Miho, Shigeo, and Sasa all lived under the same roof, although that might present its own set of problems. I also hope the characters don't drift apart after their high school graduation. I will be so upset if that happens. I wish for Kousuke to marry Masahiro and Asaya to marry Ken in the future. Maybe have a double wedding. Also, I want Yunge to date Natsuo, Chairman Yoshida to confess to Matsuzawa, and Shige and Yamabe to be the best of friends. If Memeco Arii could make that happen in the future volumes, I would be ecstatic. Best of luck to the characters in their futures. I can't wait to see how Memeco Arii shocks the world next. The next step may be Masahiro telling his mother about his relationship with Kousuke. Also, I love the cover where the boys go to an aquarium—so sweet.
