Such a great story that I read it in one sitting!

I chose this book because I really have enjoyed Ms. Walker's books in the past, and also was drawn to it because I am a huge fan of the Regency Era, but I only choose books from that era that are good stories, not sappy romances, and this book was one of those great stories!  I loved it so much that I started it at 9am this morning, and read it straight through till I was done, because it was that good!  The characters and the plot drew me in so much that I couldn't put it down!  I highlight recommend it, and give it a 5 star rating, and read the last page, and thought now what do I do???  I was that captivated with the story!!!  The story is set in London, England in 1813, with Graham Everett, a man who has been successful in finding investment opportunities for himself, of which he has used to care  for his mother and his two sisters, whom he has been taking care of since their father walked out on them nine years ago, so Graham has had to find a way to support them all.  Graham has befriended a very rich man, Mr. Lane, to whom he has also shared his many investment opportunities in the past, and who has invested capital into Graham's ideas, with which he has become richer, but also has become his dear friend and mentor along the way. Graham has recently heard of another investment opportunity that could set him and his family up for life, but he must ask Mr. Lane to come in with him again financially, and to be his partner in this scheme.   When Graham asks Mr. Lane to partner with him, Mr.Lane informs him that the investment sounds good, but this time he would like his daughter, Miss Anna Lane, a lady who does not care for Graham at all, to go and review this opportunity to see if it is something her father should invest in, but would she be willing since she despises him so?  Due to a recent scandal, Anna needs to get out of London quick, so even though she despises Graham, she sees it as her ticket to escape London, so she reluctantly agrees.  Graham does not want her anywhere near this investment, or the planning of it, as feels the same about her as she does about him, so he just wants his friend Mr Lane to invest, but is willing to do whatever it takes to clench this deal for him and his family, even if it means spending time with Miss Lane!!!  But both reluctantly agree, and are thrown together, but the original investment opportunity leads them to a completely different opportunity that will cost them both dearly, but that will change both of their lives forever!  It is such a great story!!!  I really loved it!
