Covers the emotional aspect of climbing/hiking

I've read a number of books on backpacking and mountain climbing. This is one of the few, perhaps the only one, to communicate the physical and emotional struggle of trekking. Doing things right in the outdoors and taking care of yourself doesn't mean you have no discomfort. This book helped me put the discomfort I did experience in perspective, thus helping me to put it aside and enjoy the outdoors.
