Kind of slow down in the middle, but great book.

This book would make a great epic movie. I just finished it last night and can't believe this book was published in 1992 and yet it has not become a movie. My only problem was that I wish the author gave us the age of Thane Thompson. No one knows how old he was. The story doesn't even give us his age or the age of his wife Morning Song. It was still a great book and needs to be turned into film.

Excellent book, makes you look at life as it really is.

High Freedom is an excellent portrayal of Native American life as it was in the 1800's. Murray created an exquisite book that really makes you wonder why white men wanted to take over and destroy Native Americans. His book shows just how intelligent the Native Americans were and that if we just took the time, we could have learned a lot from them. He takes the true facts and intertwines them into a historical fiction novel to make it interesting to learn of the secrets of the American West.
