HIGH COUNTRY RANCHER turns out to be the story of K. Carson Harlow - the brother who took off with Boone's girl friend.Carson keeps pretty much to himself which irritates Nola Rose Snow no end. She feels that he is going to take advantage of her father in prospecting his ranch. She wants to protect the Painted Rocks from any mining company who will just strip the land. The Painted Rocks belong to the legends and lore of the Blackfoot Indians and she is determined to protect them.Carson seems to be the big, strong, silent type of man and he is all male which calls to the female in Nola Rosa.Neither of them wants this attraction - Carson does not want to become emeshed with a woman and Nola wants to marry an Indian to further her Native American blood and have her future children accepted into the tribe.Nola is a 25 year old virgin Lawyer. Not that she tells Carson. The problem is that Ben Walking-Bow did not raise her bloodpressure like the white man, Carson Harlow. Her run in with a couple of rodeo bulls while helping her father get the hay in triggered off explosive results between her and Carson. Wow!Story was excellent but not enough explaination of the Painted Rocks, a mystery that is driving this story - Carson is more of a mystery.HIGHLY RECOMMENDED --M but --
