Hidden in Time

I must admit that I am a fan of Michael Phillips, which I became after reading the first book in this series. This series is fascinating because it brings together two areas that I love...archeology and my Christianity. What an adventure, to search for the Garden Of Eden! I finished the book, wishing that it had really happened. Entertaining and thought-provoking at the same time. Well worth the read!

The Rift In Time series is some of the best Christian Literature out there. Both the quality of the writing and the depth of ideas are every bit as good as We all Fall Down, probably the best Christian novel ever written. So much Christian literature is written with the assumption that a Christian audience is the same as an unthinking audience...

This book is even greater than its prequel! I could not put it down (just like "A Rift...")! What makes "Hidden" better is the revival of interest in the Bible being stirred up by the recovery of the arks and the subsequent spiritual revival of the world. I honestly believe that if Noah's Ark and the Ark of the Covenant were found that people would be forced to believe in what the Bible says. The Bible has been proven true by historians time and time again, but if actual artifacts were to be found! WOW! Anyways, I was also touched by the numerous conversions depicted in the book. I have been "drifting" as of late, and "Hidden" really got me thinking about things. I can also identify with Juliet Halsay. We have a similar nature, and I often feel uncertain of myself, much as she did. It was nice having fallible heroines and heroes for a change! (This book also made me cry, which is a sign of a truly great piece of literature-I never cry!) Anyways, if you like Indiana Jones and Biblical Archaeology, this book (and its predecessor, "A Rift In Time") is definitely for you! I'm only hoping there will be a 3rd book to close out a trilogy!

This book takes up where "Rift in Time" left off. Adam, Juliet and the whole gang are back for more of Adam's adventures and ideas. Will he get Noah's ark off the mountain? And what is up with The Ark of the Covenant? Is it the real thing? Has it been destroyed? Alot of action in this book, with Adam getting himself into one dangerous situation after another. I really enjoyed it, though I'm waiting for a third............ Mr. Phillips, I want a wedding!!!!!!!!! That is my only complaint. Compared to "Rift" I think this one could have used a bit more romance. But other than that, A+ and 5 stars.

Adam Livingstone and his team are back to recover Noah's Ark while persuing information on the history of the Ark of the Covenant. Imagine the impact on the world of the discovery of the two arks. Great read! Be prepared not to sleep for a while...this book is a page turner!
