This book covers women's part in history beginning in Western Culture 1600. I think women's part in history could have started back to the time of Cleopatra but the author chose to begin in Western Culture 1600. It is a good overview of women's history in the U.S. It covers the witch hunts of the 1600s; which I found to be disturbing. One chapter is donated to women's sexual knowledge and how it progressed with time.
