I couldn't disagree with the previous reviewers anymore! This book is simply smashing, I mean how often does a chap come across a book about Hedgehogs, and then how often do you find a book with this much information. Really, a bang-up job! As for Cedar wood chips, I will have you know I have raised 5 consectutive hoggies on cedar beds, and they still chase my cat around the house like a whirling dervish. This book is smashing, and I would advise anyone interested in raising hoggies to read it.
This is charming book, esppcially for anyone likes hedgehogs

This slim book is makes a comprehensive guide to hedgehogs in the home, at the vet's, and in the wild. The writing is charming and accessible. The book contains delightful photos, and careful illustrations that capture the key moments of living with a hedgehog far better than a camera.
A very well rounded imformative book. Fun and easy to read!

I liked this book alot, since I came across it as I was about to buy my hedgehog. I had never owned one before, and this book really heped me tons on how to care for them and many other things. I especially liked the special section on how to understand their body language and sounds, as hedgehogs communicate to you in this way. The only problem I saw was that they failed to mention the importance of a wheel, but otherwise it was a great book. They even went into details about breeding and handrearing. I would reccomend this book to anyone who is about to purchase a hedgehog, or already owns one.
