Heaven!!: Volume 1

This is a review for the full series: Heaven!! is very entertaining. There's the humor and comedy, and the crazy antics, and then there's the good looking love interest and bits of romance. Though I wouldn't call this my favorite manga series, it's one of the better shojo comedies because it had me actually chuckling out loud to myself. I'd look back over pages to see the funny expressions and jokes again, and find myself smiling. If you're a fan of Love Attack or Girl Got Game (also by this author) this has the same type of humor, though funnier in my opinion. Overall, it's a great light read. For only 3 volumes, it develops the story well and has a satisfying conclusion--short but sweet. I gave it only 4 stars because I don't quite love it enough to reread the series..that kind of thing is reserved for things like Paradise Kiss and Peach Girl.

This manga-ka never fails to make me laugh and Heaven! is no exception. Not only that it has an interesting story. Rionne is a girl who can see spirits, she exorcises them and sends them to Heaven! It's not exactly explained, why or how, she is doing this. But it's doesn't matter because soon the class bully ends up in a coma and she has to help him get back into his body. Which takes you on a hystrical ride, with gods, playboys and even PINK MONKEYS! I loved every minute of this manga, I can't wait for the second volume. Highly recommend to anyone who needs a laugh.
