From the head writer for "The Tonight Show" comes an irreverent parody that exposes the "real" God as a cranky, self-centered Supreme Being who has a lot to get off His chest about White House interns, divorce lawyers, and eternal damnation.
This book made me laugh out loud! I usually don't laugh just from reading a book, even if it's supposed to be funny, but this time I really did. It would make a great stocking stuffer, or if you're done Christmas shopping, definitely buy a copy for yourself!

This book is very very funny. I tried to read just bits at a time but couldn't. As it was it made a great hour or so. God is revealed as a tired but cheery smart-aleck who is very attuned to what's happening now and is prepared to let us get away with a lot, so long as there is no whining. Very funny wisecracks in here about free will, Kathie Lee Gifford, and everything in between. Read it, then leave this on your living room table or with the magazines in the bathroom and you'll find out who your real friends are!
Great read, extremely funny and entertaining.

A little healing salve for the soul from the "Big Guy" himself. This is definately something to read that will left your spirits and help you refocus on the important things. Great job!
A GOD WHO CARES

One thing that has always turned me off about God is his P.R. machine. The constant spin coming out of heaven. He seems slicker than Bill Clinton -- always coming up with a fancy answer for everything, the holier-than-thou double-speak, pinning him down on anything substantive seemed impossible. But now there's hope. Jon Mack's "Heaven Talks Back" finally gives us God unfiltered. It's not only a very funny book, but an important one too. You'll like this God. Especially when Macks pins him down on Kathie Lee Gifford. Any God who says Kathie Lee is worse than the AntiChrist because "at least the AntiChrist isn't a hypocrite" deserves a spot on your bookshelf. There's so much more I want to know from this God. How does he explain The Spice Girls, Arena Football, Branson, Missouri...the list goes on and on. Hopefully the prolific Macks has time to speak with him again. If not, at least, I hope Macks is keeping his machine on at night.
