Darlene Sala felt the "tap on the shoulder" to write the story of an African woman, affectionaly called Sister Freda, who didn't know that nothing could be done for the poverty stricken who suffer. Starting with a small clinic in her home, the work has grown to a 32 bed hospital where no one is turned away with a need, a feeding program for children, and an outreach to outlying communities. More than 700 people, many from Saddleback Community Church, have visited the work. A positive, challenging book, not one that heaps guilt on you because of what you have.
