Hearing from Heaven: Recognizing the Voice of God

When I first read this book I had already listened to the tape "Listen to Your Heart," by Kenneth Hagin, Sr. I was very new to even being taught that I was able to hear God's voice myself, and not always rely on just my pastor. As I read this book, I found out that He has always spoken to me! I was just always focused on everything else around me in the world to acknowledge it!! I have learned that God is a gentleman and is waiting for us to stand still for a moment. He is waiting for those who are WILLING to listen. He is wanting for us to acknowledge Him in all that we do. Honor Him, and He will honor you!! This book will help build up your faith enough so that you can act on what you believe the Lord is telling you to do. She tells of her own stories, and gives plenty of scripture (already printed out on the page, ready for you to read). There are some passages I would read over and over again to build up the boldness in me so that I could step out in faith. The best part is that God will ALWAYS meet you right where you are at. You don't have to be perfect before He will talk to you, or use you. He already knows of your imperfections! Only the Word of God can change you. If you try to cover up areas of your life just on the outside you would be just like the "religious" folks that ended up killing Jesus!! Mark 11:39 says, "And the Lord said unto him, Now do ye Pharisees make clean the outside of the cup and the platter; but your inward part is full of ravening and wickedness." And how many people do you know who "act" like they are Holy??? I know I enjoy people more who are REAL (transparent), admitting their weaknesses (not hiding them), and are just always being themselves, no matter who is around or what pressure they are facing. It's all a process, and this book will help you know the REALITY of who you are in Christ. There is NO condemnation for ALL of those who have asked Jesus into their hearts!!!! If you have been wanting change, the only way to do that is to make a change. And this book is a foundation to help you do just that, and fulfill the calling God has PURPOSED for your life. :)
