Sometimes, love strikes when you least expect it. . . . By night, Harris Tweed is a shock jock on the radio, entertaining listeners with his sharp wit. By day, he is Harry Woolery, a mild-mannered man... This description may be from another edition of this product.
In an era of entertainment over-saturated with excessive violence and meaningless sexual encounters, Stephanie Mittman's work stands out as a touchstone for those of us who remain dedicated to the more old-fashioned ideals of love, honesty and trust. And yet, through the development of complex characters, she manages to avoid simple platitudes or trite themes. She presents her readers with a modern work reminiscent of a gentle literary past, as refreshing as it is entertaining.

This book this not leave my hand after page one. Stephanie Mittman moves her wonderfully rich storytelling into a contemporary setting and enhances an intensely emotional tale with secrets and adventure. Bravo!
A warm and romantic story.

Great contemporary romance between a less-than-perfect hero and heroine. Very believable! Ms. Mittman is as good with contemporary romance as she is with historicals.
absolutely beautiful!

This is one of the loveliest books I've read in a long time. Stephanie Mittman brings her characters to full life. I loved Nan, who had so much love in heart for the children she cared for--she brought tears to my eyes. And Harry was incredibly real--a man with faults who fell in love and gave his entire heart and soul to Nan. The secondary characters were also terrific, as were the very special children. While I loved everything about this book, what I think I liked best was that the characters were just so REAL. I cared about them and what happened to them. I finished this book in one day and it truly touched my heart. Bravo, Ms. Mittman, for a beautiful, beautiful, book.
