This book this not leave my hand after page one. Stephanie Mittman moves her wonderfully rich storytelling into a contemporary setting and enhances an intensely emotional tale with secrets and adventure. Bravo!

Great contemporary romance between a less-than-perfect hero and heroine. Very believable! Ms. Mittman is as good with contemporary romance as she is with historicals.

This is one of the loveliest books I've read in a long time. Stephanie Mittman brings her characters to full life. I loved Nan, who had so much love in heart for the children she cared for--she brought tears to my eyes. And Harry was incredibly real--a man with faults who fell in love and gave his entire heart and soul to Nan. The secondary characters were also terrific, as were the very special children. While I loved everything about this book, what I think I liked best was that the characters were just so REAL. I cared about them and what happened to them. I finished this book in one day and it truly touched my heart. Bravo, Ms. Mittman, for a beautiful, beautiful, book.
