My Life Has Changed

This book was only one of the ways God was trying to get through to me. After living in horrible sin every second of my life, yet knowing there was more to life than what I was doing, I finally shut up and listened to God. Reading this book put things into a changing motion. I realized that "loving" my life and everyone in it, was not glorifying God. I needed to hate the fact that my flesh wanted to love them, and if I hated my family, everything in my life, and even myself, then I could humble myself like I never had before. Then ond only then could God work in me the love from Him. My life has changed beyond belief, and I give all praises to the Lord. He continues to work miracles everyday. Reading "Hating For Jesus" gets to the point and shows us what we need to do in order to grow in a relationship with Him. I challenge everyone and anyone to read this book, and to finally let God tell you what He has been trying.

I was pointed back to God and His word.

I would like to say that no book in itself has and power to change a man. This review is not to bring glory to Mr. Williams, or his book, but to give God that which is His.I read Hating for Jesus and was thourouly blessed. I found the Lord spoke to me through the scripture Tim Williams quoted and through his comentary. What I found was a solid message of following God and getting rid of other loves in my life besides Him. The two greatest commandments are delt with. Tim points back to scripture and shows how we can fully live loving the Lord with all of our hearts, and still love our neibor as ourselves. It is so encouraging to face the fact that God trully demands all my love and attention. It is only through His strength that we love anyone properly. We can try to do it without Him, and always fall short. In a nut shell, I recomend this book to all. Whether God uses it as powerfully in your lives as he did in mine,or not. You will be blessed by examining what the Bible has to say about our modern day attempt to keep all things in perspective, including God. He trully does demand all from disciples and those who want to be.

It's What is Missing!

This book is more than just another book. It truly is the missing piece in our Christianity and it just so happened that the missing piece was Jesus the Cheif Cornerstone. Upon Him we haven't built! We have built upon the sand and the day will declare! Let us not be taken by surprise by the theif (Jesus) who will come at night! Let us be ready with His love completely in our hearts! This book is a must for those who call themselves christians whether they truely are or not.

Here is the narrow road.

As I write I am in prayer as to what it is God would have me say about the message of this book, which is simply the message of the cross. At first I reacted to the title...hating? And then my father in law saw fit to read me the foreword over the phone and it made a great impression on me that caused me to forget about the title. I began to read the book and set it down as I realized that it would change my walk, my life. When I picked it up again and read it the Lord transformed my life! This is the Jesus that I have been trying to serve!! I absolutely challenge everyone who calls themselves a Christian to read this book and I can say truly that if you cannot accept this message, the message of the cross, you are either on the wide road or headed that way. It greives me to say that as I have had close friends turn away from the message, but I must rejoice in the truth. I pray that there will truly be an awakening in those who call themselves Christians to what it really means to be on the narrow road to heaven. May the Lord soften hearts as He wills and draw us to Him as He teaches us to love His truth, even when it really hurts. Are you following this example of Jesus?...Phillipians 2:8 "...He humbled Himself and became obedient to the point of death, even the death of the cross"

Hard hitting, but a breath of fresh air.

If you are like me you've heard excuse after excuse that attemps to explain why certain scriptures are not for today or don't mean what they say then this book is for you. Have you wondered where the power is in the Church? Where is the unity that Paul spoke of? Tim deals with these issues and more but not in a manner that tickles our ears. He is very careful to back up everything he says with scripture references galore. If you are brave enough to allow the Holy Spirit to speak to you about the things in this book I can guarantee that you will be set free. It may not be a pleasant experience, but it will refresh you soul. This is not one of those quick-fix books. It is, however a breath of fresh air for a Church that is so confused about its place in today's world that it believes in programs for Jesus. I strongly urge you to read the book totally, look up every Scripture reference, and spend as much time in prayer as it takes to receive confirmation from the Holy Spirit. If you do, you will be set free.
