Happy Baby Colors

My son who is four months old and being spoken to in Spanish only by mom, loves looking at the pictures in this book. Being a native Spanish speaker and an elementary school teacher I try to really review books and only purchase them when the Spanish in them is accurate. In my version of the book I only have one misspelling and that is the word remolacha is misspelled as remolocha, everything else is perfect. Be forewarned the Spanish in this book is from Spain (rather than say Mexican Spanish etc...). This book is very well put together, the pages are thick, colorful, well thought out and the photographs are very professional. I gave it the book five stars and did not dock down the review because of the spelling error due to the fact I have yet to find a single school text book that has absolutely zero spelling errors!

It looks like someone picked up on all but one spelling mistake, so I would give this book higher marks than the other reviewer. This little book has cute kids wearing different colored clothes on each board/page. The photos are all very attractive. The book has held up well to plenty of use by my son. This is a good addition to a bilingual library for toddlers. The pronunciation table in the back is a very helpful resource for English-speaking parents who want to teach their children the correct pronunciation for new words.

Priddy books is rapidly becoming my favorite source for books for my near 1 year old! Their board books, although not marketed to be as "in" as things like Baby Einstein, seem to me to be the best done ones out there. This book is no exception. My little one is fascinated with other babies right now, a stage many babies go through. This book has great, clear pictures of babies to illustrate colors---a pink blanket being held, a red snowsuit, a green sweater---and it also has facing pages with 3 or 4 other objects of that color, with an emphasis on natural objects like foods. I liked it that many varients of the colors are shown, for example, for purple, we are shown an eggplant, a beet and grapes, to show that all purples are not the same! The book is very solid and a good size to hold. I highly recommend it!

This is a wonderful book for any baby! Each page features a different color and photos of items that are that color, as well as a baby wearing clothes of that color. The variety of items is great and the names of the items are printed next to them. The pictures are crisp and the colors are incredibly vibrant.This book is a great way to introduce the concept of color and a number of words to children. My four month-old son loved the pictures from the first time he saw them and I'm sure this book will be one of our favorites.

This book is very cute. Pages 1 & 2 are for the color orange and have several items that are orange. The word is written by each item, too. Pages 3 & 4 are for Blue... Pages 5 & 6 are for Green... and so on.Each section also has a baby in it, dressed in the particular color for that section, which is a nice touch, since babies generally enjoy looking at other babies.
