What is happiness?Happiness is a biophysiological state in a human in which the human experiences a flow state. Since we know happiness has to do with flow, what causes a flow state? To answer that, we have to understand the nature of the brain and mind. This is what the next section discusses. Why does art, myth, stories, and metaphors move us? They call upon archetypes, physical structures in the brain, which manifest states of emotion which then move us.The brain is made up of archetypes in physical form. The mind, manifested through these physical archetypes by bioelectricity is constantly measuring phenomena via the inputs from our senses against these archetypes. When an archetype is identified, that physical archetype in our brain is activated and the state associated with it is activated as well. That emotional state is experienced in the form of desire and our muscular-nervous systems then moves us towards the phenomena.Bioelectricity flows through the hardware of our brains manifesting mind, whereby the mind is constantly evaluating in relation to archetypes; evolutionary and socially constructed. This speaks to nature, evolutionary archetypes, and nurture, socially constructed archetypes.Evolutionary archetypes are part of the existing hardware in the brain. Socially constructed archetypes are a part of the wetware of the brain, able to written over with more normative archetypes (not yet hardware).
