I love this book because it really does build good Christian character. It teaches us that as parents, we are the one's who have to train our children, not tv, not video games, not ipods, not the school. If responsibility is not taught at home, children will grow up thinking they don't have to do anything, it'll all be done for them, and that's a lie. I recommend this book for everyone, parent's and children alike.

My younger sister had this whole series of books when we were growing up! We still call people Handy Dandy Helpful Hals when they're being helpful! My mom kept all of them to use with her grandkids one day. All of these books are so cute!

This is just one book in the series of eight, building christian character books. They are rhyming books with great pictures too.Our kids love them, in fact our 11 year old gets them out and reads them still! There should be hard backs still in print!If they were I would purchase them for our church.
