Peter Dent was born in Forest Gate, London in 1938. He married and began taking writing seriously in the early 1960s. After working in offices and a library, he trained for teaching, from which he retired in 1991. He ran Interim Press for twelve years, publishing a number of books by or on individual writers and artists. His own work has been widely published, in pamphlets, magazines, books and anthologies.
