Half Angel

This is a wonderful story for adults or children along the Walt Disney storyline of a young pre-teen boy discovering a lost Siamese cat. The female cat is pregnant and will so deliver kittens, as the storyline makes progress the boy takes care of mother and babies before the rightful owner shows up to reclaim the cat and kittens. Though the boy is offered a kitten he turns the offer down. At story's end we find he has one of the kittens, the one with the crooked, misshapen tail, hidden out and he soon starts the cycle all over. He reasons they offered him a kitten so he feels no remorse in choosing the one he liked. A bit of surprise and strange ending, yet acceptable. A timeless story for any reader. Was a Reader's Digest Condensed Book selection with color illustrations as the hardcover had illustration too. Great, short reading from an Austrailian author of the late 1950s. Semper Fi.
