My 18 month old loves the simple pictures in these books and we use them to teach more than just shapes. We point out pictures, colors and of course use the other languages provided to teach new words.

Both books utilize familiar illustrations, for example; a school bus, pig, fire truck, barn, etc. But what makes these books different from all those that came before, is what you will find at the bottom of each page- the specific color or shape is translated into four languages French, German, Italian and Spanish and even includes a pronunciation key. These books provide wonderful learning opportunities and open the door for parents to talk with and teach their children about other countries and cultures.
