I had never heard of Gwendolyn MacEwen before a friend suggested reading her works. Since she wrote in the 1960's and '70's I thought her work might be dated. But it is timeless and fascinating. Very experimental but holding surprising music and even more surprising ideas and juxtapositions while still having an aura of the romantic.
