This little book and plan works!

I have used this plan and also passed it on to others because it works!. If you follow this plan you will see results and start to feel great. If you are expecting some sort of miracle where you will do a minimal amount of work and expect amazing results that won't happen. As other reviewers have stated, it is about reps, technique, and changing your eating habits. The cost of this book is so low, why not give it a try!

It works! How often can you say that about an abs book?

I bought this book for a second time after misplacing the original. I fell off the program several years ago when life got in the way. It's difficult to say no to all the fast food, high fat treats. This time around I lost 9 pounds around my middle in just three weeks. And I'm not done yet. Sticking with it is the most difficult part, though it isn't that hard to do. It gets easier as you go. This is a life-long eating adjustment. Not a diet, or short term fix. You have to be willing to give up the typical high-fat American diet. As an unexpected bonus though, you get a "binge day" once a week! Eat anything you want, in quanities you want, once you reach your goal. Your low fat eating plan will compensate and you'll be less likely to give up the program. Stick one of the before/after pictures on your fridge. I'm living proof that these pictures are true. Three months can make a fantastic difference in your shape and life. Three months. If you choose not to do it, three months from now you'll still have a that paunch and flab. A good (if somewhat outdated) bibliography is included.

The best of the abs books

My informal surveying of guys shows that they wouldn't buy such a book as this because all you need to do to get "flat abs" is to do more crunches or sit-ups. As I've written about in "Exercise & Health" and "Men's Workout" magazines many times, that is not the only solution. There are many guys who do serious crunches every day and don't lose their middle. To really get lean abs, you have to know a variety of facts, and Vedral has included all of them in this book without going on in useless detail. It's sort of a little book, which makes it easy to read and later refer to. Absolutely crucial information is here: why a low-fat diet will help, how the number of repetitions vs. the form you use affects your progress, and the many varieties of exercises you need to do. Most people don't know that simply doing basic crunches won't make your stomach lean. That only works one part of your ab muscle structure. There are other ab books out there, but if you don't care to read 250 pages about abs, and need a get-to-the-point guide, here it is.

Very good start on abdominal excercise.

Good book for its day, which has been superseded by a book on a different level: "The Complete Book of Abs" by Kurt Brungard.

Very effective if you are disciplined

This book provides a simple, straight-forward method for strengthening your abdonminal muscles and eliminating a "gut". If you follow the instructions, it works. It does require discipline, especially at first. After the first 12 weeks, it becomes much easier to maintain.
