This is a very concise book that tells the reader what they need to know in terms they can understand. This book can help anyone with an interest in meteorology to grasp the concepts and the science of weather systems and events. I enjoyed reading this book and felt that I learned a lot about weather from it. It is a good enough book that it could be used as a text book for a high school or junior college level meteorology course. The illustrations and photographs are colorful and well-used to help present the case for the text.

I like to watch clouds. Then I wonder why they do the things they do. A cloud's whole life happens in a mere half hour. What forces propels them? This book takes a good shot at explaining why. I've got a library copy now, and am impressed enough to buy the book.
