Growing Up!: A Parent's Guide to Childhood

This is a magical book, which answers almost every single question any parent could have. With advice on everything from childcare, illness, diet, sleep patterns, bullying, cognitive development, milestones, literacy and numeracy, emotional health and even teen and toddler tantrums and traumas (discipline the easy way), it's probably the most comprehensive and reassuring book I have ever come across. At no point does it ever 'dictate' advice, instead presenting the best options and research, empowering parents to make choices. Most baby books stop when kids read schoolage, or begin again in the teenaged years. This takes parents right through the whole gamut, from toddler to mid-teens, and I can't recommend it enough. It's become my bible, and with four children I need one!
