Nicely done

I remember having loved this book as a child so, when I needed to use 10 books for different lessons plans for my education class this was one of the books I wanted to use. I reread it and, let me tell you at 25 years old this is still a feel good book. Every one of us has bad days. On these days it is important for us to remember that we still need to love our self and forgive ourself. This book is a keeper and im hanging on to mine!

Super -- even our 2-year old loves it

Granted, this book is better for a slightly older age-group, on average, but our daughter adores Grover so I bought the book anyway. We all very much enjoy reading about Grover's troubles from morning to dinnertime as he goes through a day of home and playgroup. Grover stubs his toe getting out of bed, pours milk on the table at breakfast, is late to playgroup with Herry/Harry monster, forgets what letter comes after "Q", forgets his lunch, is disappointed when the lunch his friend shares in not the kind his Mommy makes him, is excluded from tackle football at recess by the larger monsters in protective gear, drops the ice cream from his cone, and gets his boot stuck in gum on the way home. His Mother is very kind when they arrive home and he tells her about his day. She helps him retrieve and clean his boot, and takes him for ice cream (where they see the larger monsters from school who invite Grover to play tickle football the next day). Very, very sweet book. Pretty wordy for most under about 3.5 years old, in my opinion. Highly recommended!
