My son is autistic, and the year he was 5, we read this book to tatters. The colorful, warming pictures showing the Muppets with familiar comforts of childhood--spaghetti with meatballs, sleeping with a cat, the nightlight, playing with blocks--made this book a hit with a child who will probably never attend a sleepover. I just finished putting yet another layer of tape on the binding today. A household classic!
A Neat Book

I think this is a neat book because it tells how Grover is scared to go on his first sleep over. I think all kids are scared when they stay the night away from home for their first time and this book tells about it. This is a good book for a child who is scared to go on their first sleep over. It will teach them that it's not so scary after all.
An Amazing Book

Grover Sleeps Over by Elizabeth Winthrop was one of my very favorite books. It's a great book for pre-schoolers. The main character, Grover, is on the television show Sesame Street. The whole story is about Grover's first sleepover and how he feels apprehensive about it. Grover is worried about eating good cereal and not having a night-light. His mom tells him everything will be fine and to just have fun. This is a wonderful book. I highly suggest you read to a pre-schooler Grover Sleeps Over. This is easily a five out of five stars.
