There isn't much nuclear jiggery pokery going on in this book, but it's sort of like a Dogs of War/Day of the Jackal book but with aircraft. Let me explain. The plot revolves around an ex RAF pilot who is recruited by an oil company to destroy a nuclear weapon in transit between Pakistan and Libya. Like the Forsyth books, for me, one of the most interesting parts of the book is the way that Cox describes the intricacies of obtaining fake documents, equipment and testing his aircraft and improvised weapon systems that the protagonist goes through. It isn't a thrill a minute rollercoaster ride, but a well-researched and thorough book that will appeal to stick and rudder jocks as well as general thriller readers. This book has been out for a good while now, but if you see it, its well worth a read.
