Grizzly Gallery is a compilation of the field notes and photographs of the authors for the Northern Range of Yellowstone National Park. It encompasses the area from Ice Box Canyon from March 12 to June 21, 2012. Grizzly Gallery records 480 sightings of single bears or family units (a sight is one bear or family unit per day). Individual bears identified were 18 males, 13 females. Thirteen family units included 14 cubs-of-the-year (COY) and 4 yearlings. COY and Yealrings add another 128 sightings (i.e. 2 COY observed on four days is 8 sightings).Photogrpahs and drawings may be used to clarify bear observations by aiding in identification of individual bears. Maps show the locations of all recorded grizzly sightings for the period with emphasis on family units consisting of sows with cubs-of-the-year and yearlings.There are dicussions of some individual bears and family units. Maps reveal temporal and spatial trends.
