Kit's discovery of a "secret" Japanese garden is the beginning of a healing process as her family disintegrates and new friendships add new, enriching dimensions to her life.
Green Willow is an amazing book written by Eileen Dunlop. This book is about a grieving family, Kit and Laura, who take a boy, Daniel, into their home, to help him find his long lost aunt. While this family helps Daniel, he also helps them by solving mysteries about a Japanese garden. This also assists in finding his aunt. You will be awed with all of the mysteries and how they are solved if you read this book. Eileen Dunlop does a wonderful job of showing the feelings of the characters and she makes you feel like you're there with the characters. I actually got a chill down my back the first time that the ghost appeared in the garden! Eileen Dunlop also does a wonderful job with foreshadowing. She gives great clues, but you can't really predict what will happen next.
