George Ferrier (the hero) becomes trustee for a sheltered, 18 year old, Victorian-type lady. Much hilarity ensues. Lots of little events on the sidelines that are amusing but not part of the main story (Paddy is a hoot). Good effort by DE, George is very likable. Story is a little choppy. Elma is "entrancing", one of the more off-beat of DE's characters. I'd would have liked more about Cathy and Dan, but you can't have everything. I thought the book was worth the investment, quite enjoyable and I will be reading it again.
