No-brainer

No-brainer: I like how the story makes itself known at a steady pace. Although it is pretty long I read it in a couple of days. I also like how a dragon whiether evil or not can choose what it wants to be. I recommend this book to ages 8+.

A great book in the series

This book was an entertaining and a great read. Preteens will love the story of three common kids that do uncommon things. I enjoyed the writing and the easy way that the author pulled me into the story. When a ten-year-old boy (who is always getting himself into trouble) finds a chest near a dead dragon his life takes on a whole new meaning. Dragons are just stories, they don't exist anymore. The chest contains a tablet and a rock that later becomes a green dragon. He falls in love with the little hatchling and protects him from all that want to kill it. Everyone says that green dragons are evil by nature, but he doesn't care, this dragon will be different... during his journey to discover what it all means he manages to get himself, his brother and a friend in dire troubles with a black wizard that almost cost them their lives. Recommended to dragons lovers everywhere and all who love fantasy. Anna del C. Dye Author of "The Silent Warrior Trilogy" [...]

Green Dragon Codex Review

This book was a thrilling read. The characters were brilliant, real and defined. All throughout the book, you were rooting for the three children. The storyline was exceptionally good, keeping you on the edge of your seat and so enthralled you forgot you were reading and not actually part of the action. It was very well written and i would definately recommend this to anyone.

A wonderful adventure

This is a wonderful story. The characters are engaging, interesting, dynamic and real. The main character, Scamp, is wonderfully genuine and has an innocence that just makes you wants to pinch his cheeks. More than that, the story is an adventure of the highest order. It will serve as a great place for young readers to start reading and will satisfy even the most discriminating fantasy fans of all ages. It is an easy read which still manages to explore motifs of personal identity, the nature of good and evil, loyalty, family, friendship, and the human condition. If you are a fan of fantasy at all, you must read this book.

If you love magic, dragons and advertures....

If you love magic, dragons and adventures this book is amazing! The unique characters (well not the evil ones of course) captured your heart. The plot never gets boring. And the author has done an amazing job showing us that each one of us has the potential for goodness or evil. We each are blessed with special gifts and adventures that we must choose to develop or follow. I even hate to admit this, but the ending tugged especially hard on my heart--what happens to the little evil green dragon. [...]
