I can't thank Dr Graham enough for putting his knowledge into a book so that we can all benefit.

I have long suspected that grains could be a problem beyond just the gluten. For such a short paged book - it addresses everything one needs to know about the relationship between grains and health. Dr. Grahams newest and most brilliant book The 80/10/10 Diet lead me to order this book. I knew very little about Dr. Graham before I read his recent book, then ordered this Grain Damage book - and I feel I have finally found the precious truths about nutrition that I have been looking for, the past 10 years. As difficult as it was for me to accept the fact that I have been mis-directing people that I have tried to help, in the past 10 years, (although none of them were harmed by my limited understanding) I can clearly see, now, how much faster they all could have reached optimal health, if I had had his information then. Initially, I wanted to reject some of the things I was reading, not because I felt they were inaccurate but because, I kept having flashes of 'how I am now going to go back to all these people and let them know my understanding was not as complete as I had thought'. But, after I admitted this to myself, and in my heart and mind, I knew without a doubt, that this is the most complete and accurate nutritional book I have read - I knew what I had to do. And, much to my surprise, as I began explaining to those I have worked with - my rationale for adding and substracting, from what I previously suggested - they were perfectly okay and actually excited and appreciate about this new information and challenge - even though they all realized rather quickly, how much more discipline would be required of them. I feel it is a book that requires a lot of self-disciple beyond what most of us have BUT it also shows that we all need to have a purpose in life or a selfless direction to serve - which in turn reduces our obsessions in life - centered around food. If we take the attitude that the correct foods and the correct ratios of proper foods, will raise the integrity of our cells functioning to a new level, which will in turn raise the level of the way we feel and think - the self-discipline becomes easier. I have also benefited from his books because it dawned on me, that I have been using 'food' much like one uses 'medicines'. So, for me, I again learned that we can't fragment health and we can't fragment the body parts, that all the trillion of cells are working in harmony towards one goal- that is, survival of the organism. And if we are to correct or reverse any disease or any dysfunctional organ - we need to correct the underlying Cause. And 99% of the time, the Cause is the fuel we are feeding these cells. And the ratio of this fuel. Only by looking at the Cause and Effect relationship, will we free the obstructions in our cells from carrying out their purpose. And now I know that it is much easier than I ever realized. So, this is my review and I feel humbled and confident with this new direction.

Who's the crazy one?

At first the average person might read these insightful tidbits and think that someone is being very extreme in a grain filled world. However on deeper thought, just looking around you can see the evidences of what cooked grains does to our people and our world. When we "un"refine our diets to more fresh and natural, we soon see those who have refined it as the ones who are more extreme. Going against the grain is far more ideal to our health and the planet. Dr. Graham fills this easy to read and absorb book with many words of wisdom, facts and documented evidence about how cooked grains effect people's physiology and how it has effected the environment as we know it today.

simply put

I have been looking into health and wellness for years and read a huge variety of books. Few of these books have had the imapct on my diet that this little booklet did. Dr. Graham's amazing ability to use pure logic to appeal to the reader's own intelligence is unique. He brings up observations so simple you wonder why you never thought of them yourself. His approach to the grain free life is unlike many of the others because grain-free does not mean "low-carb." He points us in the direction to staying satified with our foods, overcoming addictions and achieving health without untold destruction to the environment and Earth's ecosystems. I highly recommend this book to anyone who is looking to lose weight, overcome addictive eating patterns or is just looking for healthy simple living.

Packed with Brilliant Insights

I've been active in sports and cultivating my own health since I started buying my own food with my paper route money. I've read a lot of health related books, and this one is likely the most powerful, if not in absolute terms, on a "per word" basis. Dr. Graham consistently makes logical, sound, incontrovertible points that make you say 'Hey! Why didn't I see that before?'. For me, the best thing is realizing that what's best for me is also benefits the environment, wildlife, and farm animals. It's a win all around, and this booklet is a winner, too. Highly recommended.

A must read for any health enthusiast.

Every once in a great while, a book comes along with a message so powerful that you wish that everyone you knew, could read it. Grain Damage is such a book. For a long time, I have pondered such questions as: why are more and more people being diagnosed with gluten allergy, gluten intolerance, and the more serious Celiac Disease? Why do I not feel well after eating a large grain-centered meal? Why is it so hard to lose weight on a diet that is largely comprised of refined and overly-processed grains? Why do we feed up to 90% of the grain we grow to feed livestock while millions of people on the planet go without food? Grain Damage answers these questions and so many more. After reading this book, you may find that going "against the grain" is the wisest choice you could ever make.
