Now with a fresh cover The nearly 200,000-selling Grace Walk has helped thousands of believers leave behind the manic-depressive Christian walk: either running around trying to perform to be acceptable to God--or thinking they've failed Him again and wondering if they'll ever measure up.

Living the grace walk gets Christians off this religious roller coaster. Using his own journey from legalism into grace, Steve McVey illustrates...

This is not the " study guide " I ordered nor I received!

Powerful message for all!

What happens if what you are doing in your life doesn't seem to be working for you now - and you feel that by your own standards you are failing? What if you are a pastor or layperson doing church work, and the programs and promotions are not working? What if you work extra hard to make it work, at the expense of your family? What happens when you don't like the person that you are becoming? You discover something that was always there waiting for you, but seldom taught: "As you have received Christ Jesus the Lord, so walk ye in Him." We are saved by grace, so we should walk by grace. But few Christians have heard or understood that message. Grace Walk is an encouraging book that brings hope to the heart of every follower of Christ who constantly feels that he or she either doesn't measure up - or will never measure up. Grace Walk is a book that shows us how to read the Bible for revelation, not information. It is a book that helps us to understand why it is impossible to live for Christ, but very possible to have Him live in and through us. It teaches us how to come to the place where we have the desire to pray, read the word, and fast. It teaches us that we should not do them, just because we ought to, or because we hope that it will win God's favor, or we want Him to know that we are trying hard to live for Him - but rather because we want to - because we want communion with Him. If all this has you scratching your head and thinking that this sounds like a book that will take too much thinking, then think again. For the Christian who feels that he or she is constantly falling short of what God really wants or expects, it is a must read that will bring relief, release, and joy as we understand God's perspective.

The truth will set you Free.

God used this book to set me free from homosexuality, legalism, hopelessness...... read it , believe it and be set free

One of the most significant works on the Christian life ever

The idea that God doesn't call us to do what we are able to do, but places our calling just beyond our own self-sufficiency so that "no flesh should glory in His presence" is a truth McVey has discovered. That we need not ask God for strength, but instead let Him perfect His own strength through our weakness is not something we have not read in the Bible. It is there! We simply read over it and never realize what it is saying. For too long, too many Christians have sung "Christ is all I need" but lived "I did it my way." This important book is as clear and understandable as anything written any where about the principle of Christ living His life through the believer. I tell my seminary students it is a must read, in fact it is an assignment which requires a book review. To me it is essential that tomorrows Christian leaders understand clearly that the "abundant life" is nothing less than the sufficiency of Christ. It is life. Grace Walk makes clear the truth that Jesus Christ did not come to earth to make bad people good, but to make dead people live. Thank God for Dr. McVey and for the wonderful blessing this book has been and will be to untold thousands.

Too many Christians are trapped by self imposed rules.

What can I do for God today? How can I make God proud of me? I am going to spend my life doing God's work. I do hereby resolve to ___________! (Fill in the blanks with anything religious.)Steve McVey shows us from scripture the futility of trying to 'work' for God. Spinning our wheels for the Lord leads to burn-out and depression. Instead, Steve would have us simply enjoy a deep relationship with God. This relationship is sustained and maintained by God Himself! The Christ-life is not our responsibility. It is all the result of God's grace.Easy to read and understand. The truths in this book will revitalize the life of any Christian who reads it.
