Gorp and the Jelly Sippers

For starters, I'm not sure why the catalog description makes this book sound like a cold war history book. Perhaps that will be changed. This is a children's story...one of my favorites from when I was little. I would say it's appropriate for kindergarten age children. It is about Gorp, the friendly giant from outer space, who comes to the aid of the imperiled inhabitants of a planet made of jelly, which is beginning to boil in the sun. He takes these inhabitants to a planet made of peanut butter and they live happily ever after. I used the story in a master's communication class as a demonstration of the need to trust the leader to get the team where it needs to go, especially when the team does not have a plan.
