I own around 70 cookbooks, and this is the one I use the most. I bought it when it first came out, and almost every recipe is terrific. Many of the recipes are simple, but delicious and healthy, and reliable. Golden is a caterer, so it's a good book for entertaining, too. I can almost say I owe my wonderful 15 year marriage to this book! I made the seafood angloloti for my husband when we began dating, and they knocked his socks off! The chocolate mousse cake is his birthday cake every year! Too bad it is out of print!
The best cookbook I've ever bought
Published by Thriftbooks.com User , 21 years ago
I bought this cookbook in 1988 and it taught me how to cook. Everything I've tried is remarkable. In the Chinese food recipies she gives tips, such as how to keep ginger in a small bottle of sherry, so you'll have what you need when you want to make some noodles at midnight. The book also taught me to make crepes really well. Her instructions, and the excellent flavors of her dishes, are what make the book my favorite. Try the Mexican Fiesta pasta salad.
