This was my son's favorite book age 0-2. We read it so much that my husband and I memorized it. The lyrical quality made it very restful for bedtime.
A Picture of Himself

Clara Vulliamy's "Good Night, Baby" is a calming night time story. My son sees himself going through his end of day rituals just like the young child he reads about. It is a comforting book that he still loves at 3 1/2 years old. He sees himself lovingly tucked in at night by Mommy with teddy at his side for company. The words and pictures are quiet and soothing.
unforgetable

This book is unforgetable. My child was 2 years old when she memorized every page in this book. I lost the book when she was 2 and a half. She is now almost four and still remembers every word! This book makes getting ready for bed so comforting and special. The words are simple and the ideas rhyme so that your child is remains interested from beginning to end.
Our favorite book and a nighttime ritual.

While some have accused Vulliamy of being too syrupy, I find her charming watercolors of nice babies closer to our family's experience than most other attempts at representing babyhood. This book has a realistic bedtime routine with a quiet, nice mom who doesn't hover but is there with a warm towel and lullaby. The text has a wonderful sleep-inducing rhythm. The last line of the book is now the last thing I say to my baby as she snuggles down to sleep.
Cheerful rhymes and colorful drawings make a favorite book

This book has been one of my 15 month old son Jesse's favorites for many months now. The sweet, colorful drawings show a toddler finishing dinner, taking a bath, reading a story, and getting ready for bed with Mom, a routine that many babies and toddlers follow. My son and I both like the rhymes, and I don't get bored rereading this book (unlike many of Jesse's other books). I highly recommend this one
