This is a great book to read.

Goddess of the Night is the first novel in the Daughters of the Moon series, a series that promises to be long. Each book is told from the viewpoint of one of the four (eventually five) Daughters, as well as another character, Stanton. While after reading this one, you're going to want to read the rest, Godddess of the Night has a beginning, middle, and end. It doesn't leave you hanging at the end.It's an excellent book. Vanessa, the viewpoint character for this particular one, is my personal favorite of the Daughters. All of the girls are "cool" and easy to identify with. She is a teenager in LA who thinks she's a space alien because of her supernatural (but not superhero-y) power to turn invisible. It becomes quite a problem in her daily life. She and her best friend, and two other girls, have this ability, and they fight the forces of evil.The name Daughters of the Moon sounded kind of cult-ish to me, but they it gets explained later, and is perfect! The story is a very cool, modern fantasy, targetted at the teenage girl. This book is very short, and takes about a day to read. It's not the best in the series, but it's still worth reading -- and you have to read it to understand the others. Nine stars out of ten. I'd recommend reading it from the library, though...it's quite expensive.

Has she gotten lost in time, or does the Atrox have her? THe book, Goddess of the Night, by Lynne Ewing, is an outstanding novel, especially for those who like fantasy. However, I recommend it for all people. It is a delightful book with plenty of suspense to keep you reading all night. The descriptions are so detailed, you almost think you are there! THis book takes you on a magical journey filled with surprise and much more. If you want a fantastic book, Goddess of the Night is the right choice.

This is the first book in a series of books dealing with the lives and challenges of four seemingly-normal teenage girls. At first glance you probably wouldnt notice anything peculiar about Vanessa, Catty, Serena, or Jimena. You would never guess the important roles they play in the lives of everyone living. These girls are the Daughters of the Moon. The mortal children of the moon goddess Selene sent down to earth to fight the forces of darkness, the Atrox. Each girl posses a gift. Serena can read minds, Vanessa can become invisivle at will, Jimena can see into the future, and Catty can travel through time. Each girl is unique and the girls must stay together to succeed in fighting the Atrox. Catty goes missing. Vanessa cant believe that her best friend since childhoodhad was gone. Had omething gone wrong in time travel? or had the Atrox found her....

Vanessa Cleveland wants a normal teenager's life. The only problem is getting there- and that means NOT turning invisible. Vanessa has the power of turning invisible and she soon learns that she is a goddess, along with her friends, Catty, Jimena, and Serena. They each have their own powers that can help win their battle against the evil Atrox. Besides trying to save people's hope, they also try to win the luv of people that have stolen their hearts. Will good prevail, or will evil take over their sanity? This book was excellent! The plot was thrilling, and the characters were well described. Ms. Ewing does a wonderful job of describing the outfits and scenery in the story, and her imagination is great! For those of you who are looking for a magical adventure that is very realistic, you should definitely read: Goddess of the Night.

Vanessa has the ability to become invisible, and Catty can travel through time. They have known about these powers since they were little girls, but they have kept them hidden from everyone but each other. But now Catty has dissapeared. If Vanessa wants to save her friend, she's going to have to trust two other girls who say they are like her and Catty, as well as a mysterious woman who claims Vanessa is a goddess. I really enjoyed this book. I can't wait to read future titles in the series. I would reccomend it to teens who like fantasy, but not to anyone younger than twelve or thirteen.
