Historical Fact and Fascinating Personality Descriptions!

I read this book until it disintegrated, and luckily found another copy in a used bookstore. I highly recommend it to anyone reading about astrology, beginners or advanced students, because the author is a true historian and scholar who reveals why certain symbols have the significance that they do to this day. the book covers each sign with a "historically speaking" and "personally speaking" chapter. I've never read a better description for my sun sign, Capricorn, than the personally speaking chapter. She nails me to a T! I've held all the jobs she mentions Capricorns being good at, and I work in the way she mentions. the author also includes how our sun sign reacts with the moon as the moon goes through its transits, which I found very enlightening and helpful. I now plan significant events to the correct moon transit and feel better about the days I feel the need to "cave." While the book does focus mainly on returning the female aspects back into a science that was re-written by men, this is not a man-hating type book and can be appreciated by anyone, no matter what their personal political agenda is, because it is such a fine piece of scholarly work. The world history it presents was never taught in our schools, and shows why school history is so boring - it's been sanitized beyond recognition. When you read the historically speaking chapters it resonates with truth, the kind that makes our soul, our personal recorders of all our lives, respond with a Yes! that's how it was!
