I originally came to the Goal Sister group to spend time with a couple of my friends and to try and figure out what I wanted to do now in my life having recently been laid off from my job. What I found was a network of people who became much more then friends. They became Goal Sisters. I have several good friends in my life. People that I am very close to, people that I can count on to be there for me. My Goal Sisters are also my friends but they are also much more. To me a Goal Sister is someone who is committed to determining, setting and attaining personal goals and someone who is also committed to helping others to determine, set and attain their goals. My original friendships have evolved into a different type of friendship with Goal Sisters. One in which we have taken on the responsibility of spending regular scheduled time with one another to encourage and support each other. Not just when we have had a bad (or good) day but also when we are just having a regular day. As for myself, I feel awakened and excited about accomplishing some things that I have long put on hold for various reasons. I know my Goal Sisters will see to it that I continue on my chosen path. Thank you Goal Sisters and thank you Ann and Michelle for writing this book.
I'm a Goal Sister!

I joined my "Goal Sisters" group because I thought it would be a nice way to meet people and maybe work on some goals along the way. It has been all that but so much more! I've been surprised at how being a Goal Sister has spurred me on to examine my life, set goals and work to accomplish them. I try to be very honest with my Goal Sisters and accurately portray my ideas, so that forces me to dig deep and examine my likes and dislikes and beliefs and hopes and dreams in a way I haven't done on my own. I get to hear my own voice as I share my thoughts plus I get honest feedback. Goal Sisters has given me a safe and supportive environment in which to test out my ideas and dreams. It is also an exciting experience to hear my Sisters figure out their dreams and to help them along the way.
FUN, ENTERTAINING, AND JUST WHAT WOMEN NEED

It should be no secret that the best people to help women, are other women. Ann & Michelle do a great job of stimulating the mind to think outside box and ask for "a little help from your friends". In addition to being a great no-nonsense approach to accomplishing what you want in life, the benefits of looking to other women for help and learning how to take care of yourself (a national crisis for women I think) is invaluable. I even joined a Goal Sisters group in my area that I REALLY LOVE! I have gotten so much support for myself, get some help with my decorating, and am going back to school in the fall! If you accomplish so much from this, isn't it worth the $15 investment?

I found GOAL SISTERS to be inspiring and down to earth. I enjoyed the format, hearing how Ann and Michelle worked together in an unusual way to realize their goals. The conversational style is inviting. I have already recommended this book to others!
An inspirational self-help book with touches of humor

Wow! What a find in GOAL SISTERS. For anyone who's needed the extra support of like-minded sisters for empathy and encouragement toward what life offers, this is it! With Leach and Pillen's suggestions on how to form then sustain such a group, I'm ready to contact my friends. Extra-special were their real-life anecdotes. Buy a book, read, then begin!
