Great Cookbook

I have been cooking with the 1st cookbook as of July 08 and ,it is wonderful, my wife and I have tried nearly all the recipes. Bought the new cookbook , I like the new recipes , what great varriations...the Thansgiving in a pot is Great !!!.I have been adapting other recipes to fit the Glorius One Pot style also. What a wonderful way to cook,.... simple, tasty, healthy and easy to clean up after. . Thank You so much for the cookbooks and the Idea to cook this way. We love it !!

Perfect!

I am not a big cook and if it takes longer than 20 minutes from grocery store to the oven, I am no longer interested in making the dish - I also hate, hate washing lots of dishes. This book is the perfect solution for someone like me. I have had this book for a few weeks now and I managed to make most of the vegetarian recipes and let me tell you - this is a miracle book. The ingredients are easy to find - and the preparation time is minimal and ALL of it can be done in one pot - period. The recipes are excellent and easy to make - they taste great.. I also appreciated the breakdown of the calories and fat content for each (watch out for some of the fat contents - they can be a little high). The one thing that was missing were the pictures of the meals. I would have liked to see what the finished product looked like. Nonetheless, this is a wonderful, wonderful book. One suggestion, I did try making these recipes in a regular glass casserole and the recipes actually do taste much better in a dutch oven. The dutch oven is way more expensive, but is worth it You will send up getting all your money back on the savings you will be making eating in instead of out.

The joys of one pot cooking

Finally, an author got it right - a deceptively simple way to make nutritious, delicious dinners all in one step! I was blown away by the scallops and sweet potato recipes. The potatoes added an unexpected flavor that was just yummy. I served one of them for a dinner party of eight, and it was enormously successful. And so easy! I added French bread and dessert, and there you have it. This style of cooking has encouraged me to take up the art again after many years of takeout. I also love the spiral notebook design, which makes it so easy to use. I've already lined up 6 more recipes to try out on my husband and friends! Susan Rutherford, Denver,CO
