A wonderful book that stimulates the senses. Stretches the imagination to find the design elements and color in our natural surroundings and commonplace objects. Provides instructions, materials needed and graphs for many needlework pieces. Excellent photos showing the practical use of the various finished needlepoint projects. This is a delightful and informative book that even non-stitchers would enjoy. Needlepointers will revel in it

Firstly, this is a reprint of the Glorious Needlepoint that went out of print. Not a bad thing. Secondly, if you love Victoriana, this is a great book. Kaffee Fassett is fascinated by overstuffed patterns and the huge flora of the Victorian age, plus the visual excitement of clutter and bric-a-brac. He has been able to translate his art into some very Victorian kittens, complete with sweet expressions and sugary pink bow. This design even makes my manly (but cat-loving) husband melt.

This wonderful book is simply a reprint of a much older book by Kaffe, and the description fails to reveal this. New cover, new photo, old book.
