Quinn never expected to run into a ghost in the woods! All she wanted to do was get to her world and bring Zarah back safely when Caleb Marshall suddenly appears. He has remained in the woods, unseen by others since his death in 1933 at the hands of his cousin. He seeks revenge on the descendents of his murderer... the very descendents who are sheltering Quinn and Zarah Meanwhile, Caleb uncovers danger that poses a national threat. Quinn is undeniably attracted to Caleb... but he's a ghost! GHOST MOON is yet another fascinating installment in Rebecca York's Moon series! While the books in the series do have some weaving back and forth with the characters, the stories themselves tend to be stand alones. However, GHOST MOON does rely a bit on the background of Quinn, Zarah, and Griffin and the parallel universe that is fully explored in her short story, Huntress Moon found in ELEMENTAL MAGIC. Fans of the series have already seen bits and pieces of the alternate world but the various infighting and problems of that universe are fully described in Huntress Moon. Rebecca York is a master at crafting realistic and credible worlds in the paranormal genre. Even better, her heroes and heroines have such passion between them that the reader is hooked. Quinn and Caleb's story offers some unique challenges and I liked the fact that Rebecca York didn't gloss over these challenges, even as their attraction was steaming up the pages. Instead, she incorporates them into the plot to produce one heck of an original storyline! The sheer creativity alone in addressing some of the very obvious problems the hero and heroine face makes this book worth reading. GHOST MOON shows yet again why Rebecca York has had such success. Rebecca York is an author unafraid to take chances and GHOST MOON is proof her risk-taking works. Easily recommended! COURTESY OF CK2S KWIPS AND KRITIQUES

Sexy Ghost Story

I have to tell you this writer has failed to ever write a bad book. Seriously, everything she writes thouroughly entertains me. Ghost Moon is no exception. It is a book that brings back a cast of some beloved characters and keeps true to form. I have to admit this was a bit more complicated of a storyline in that it had a ghost, a visitor from another astral plane, werewolves, bad blood among cousins, a rebel leader in another world, a crazy maniac militant bent on blowing up D.C., a dead man, and lots of sexy situations. Quinn is a woman from another world parrallel to our universe who opens a veil between our world and hers to bring a rebel leader's wife to safety. She teams up with Rinna and Logan (New Moon) who will help her learn about modern day Earth so she can better protect the pregnant wife of the rebel leader, Griffin, from her home world that is under attack. In the process, she stumbles across Caleb Marshall, who is the ghost of a werewolf who was murdered by his cousin 75 years ago. Quinn has psychic powers that allows her to form a bond and communicate with the sexy ghost. He is totally alpha and makes his attraction to her known right from the start. (Seriously, so sensual I thought the pages would burn up.) She falls for him but is torn between loving him because he is a ghost and the fact he is hell bent on revenge against the very people who are helping her to protect her leader's wife. Just when Quinn believes their chance at a relationship is hopeless along come two men sent by a militant leader to bury a body in the forest. Caleb takes over the man's life and he is able to make love to Quinn, as well as, finally be able to exact revenge on the Marshall Clan. Quinn must decide between her love of Caleb and her loyalty to the Marshalls. Which will she choose? Every twist and turn that the book takes is well thought out. Romantic, sexy and action-packed Rebecca York again has found the way to blend romantic suspense, paranormal, science-fiction into a mesmorizing story. Clever writing that pulls together in a satisfying ending. This was an exciting read that I devoured in two days. I have read every single book in the Moon series and by far Killing Moon has always been my favorite but now I have to add Ghost Moon too.

Reanimation and retribution

Another book in Rebecca York's Moon series about werewolves and people from a parallel universe, this story works on its own although it does reference events in previous books. In this story Quinn has travelled from the parallel universe to this work to meet up with Logan and Rinna and help them prepare for the arrival of another woman, Zarah, the pregnant wife of Griffin. Zarah is in danger back in their world and it is hoped that she can be moved to safety into this world until after the birth of her baby. Quinn finds herself with the feeling of being watched as she steps through the portal into some woodland. She soon discovers that there's a ghost tied to the land, a male, and that she can both sense his presence and also feel his touch. Eventually she is able to hear his voice and learns that he is Caleb Marshall, a werewolf man who was killed by his cousin seventy-five years before. The more time she spends with Caleb the more solidly he begins to appear - but nothing can come of a relationship with a ghost. But a strange Colonel is plotting something against the USA and his group of soldiers try to kill one of them who they discover is a spy; he is buried alive in the woods and Caleb calls Quinn to help to rescue him. They aren't in time to save the man's life but through some strange events Caleb ends up in this man's body, reanimated after 75 years. Now Caleb has the opportunity to wreak vengeance against the descendants of the man who killed him - but those descendents are Quinn's friends. Can Caleb settle into his new body? Can he put aside his vengeance against the Marshalls? Can they discover what the Colonel is doing and prevent a huge disaster befalling the USA? This book was well-paced with events unfolding smoothly as Caleb and Quinn's lives intertwine. There were many references to events in previous books but things were explained enough for new readers to this series to understand. This reader was never quite able to get over the ickiness of a 75-year-old ghost reanimating someone else's body and living in it and there were some parts of the plot that I felt were a little loosely handled. However it was a reasonable read overall, if nothing particularly special. Originally published for Curled Up With A Good Book © Helen Hancox 2008

entertaining romantic fantasy

For the sixth time Quinn comes through the portal from her parallel universe to land in a Maryland wooded area far from Baltimore but not enough to escape auto fumes. She has met a werewolf clan her that has welcomed her so much so she has sat in a moving car with them. She is taking pregnant Zarah to this isolated woodland so she can give birth in a safe environs. However, on this trip, Quinn meets the ghost of werewolf Caleb Marshall, who was murdered by his cousin over a woman in 1933. To Caleb this is a miracle caused by his instant attraction to her, as for the first time in the seven plus decades since his demise someone living knows he exists. When a human is murdered nearby Caleb's restless spirit takes over the corpse. He realizes through fleeting flickers of the deceased man's memories a terrorist attack is forthcoming. With Quinn's help he hopes to prevent an imminent tragedy even as they begin to fall in love. Rebecca York's latest "Moon" romantic fantasy is an entertaining suspense thriller that stars a courageous female with a fascinating unique male. The story line is fast-paced and filled with plenty of action as the heroic duo try to prevent a terrorist attack. Although Caleb adjusts too easily to his return to the living, fans will appreciate GHOST MOON as the action never quits yet the romance that crosses barriers is fully developed. Harriet Klausner

Sexy, fun, fast paced and engaging...

Sexy, fun, fast paced and engaging. These are a few things I have to say about Rebecca York's 7th novel, GHOST MOON, in the Moon series. I was drawn into her universe within the first few pages and couldn't put the book down until I salivated over the last page. Quinn and Caleb's first meeting is intense, seductive, dark. The chemistry between them was unmistakable and sent shivers down my spine. There is something sexy about what we cannot see, and that was Quinn's first meeting with Caleb. She couldn't see him, but she could feel him. His energy, his emotions, the way he held her against him... Combine that with a creative, well thought out plot that was meticulously weaved into the romance and I was treated to one hell of a novel. One thing I love about GHOST MOON is the series factor. GHOST MOON is the latest in the Moon series and it didn't disappoint. Rebecca York does a magnificent job in keeping her universe consistent throughout the novels but giving it a unique spin that allows readers starting in the middle of the series to understand what is going on. I would recommend this book to anyone looking to sink their teeth into an erotic paranormal thriller with elements of magic, shifters and ghosts.
