Mindbending

I know we like to think that we're the most advanced civilization so far, but besides our gadgets which most of can only use, not build, what do we have? Our ancestors were a whole lot smarter than we give them credit for and, I might say, a lot smarter that we are today. We have cellphones and texting, they could peer into the other dimensions using only the power of their mind. We build skyscrapers that sometimes don't last our lifetime. They built pyramids something we still can't do. They aligned their buildings to the stars. We build where we can get the best property for our money. We think about our generation, they thought about what was to come thousands of years from their time. Philip Gardiner ties together both science and ancient history to build a case that we're beginning to get a glimpse into worlds of quantum entanglement that our ancestors used in their daily lives. Are we finally catching up? It has taken us until now to understand what they knew thousands of years ago. How did they know that everything was connected? Maybe we just thought they weren't advanced because they didn't use technology, but then again, maybe they didn't need to. When I Dream

Researching Mystical Pathways

Philip Gardiner takes the reader on an adventurous and exciting journey which includes ancient cultures, pagan religions, monuments, and ceremonies. He also explores Judaic and Christian religious symbols and stories, Masonic symbols and architecture, quantum energy systems and even bineural brain wave pattern training - all to scientifically search for what constitutes a mystical, other-worldly experience. The author takes a scientific look at ancient and modern human attempts to connect to the mystical realm. Or perhaps more accurately to explore Reality and Life as we know it on a deeper level. He avoids New Age references and also distances himself from any religious belief systems or dogmas. It is a non-biased approach to finding out how ancient and modern mankind connects to the mysteries of the esoteric world. The author uses down to earth understandable language to explain many deep and complex subjects which makes this a very satisfying book to read. The reader discovers that ancient civilizations, Shamans from cultures around the world who had no contact with each other whatsoever, all used similar symbols, forms, and devices to describe a common experience. In some cases, herbs, drugs, or snake venom was ingested to arrive at this "other realm, an understanding of energy systems, a connection to something believed to be a Higher Realm. Breathing techniques were another means of achieving this experience. The author points out, the ancients who preceded us had a better understanding of the great cycles of life which modern man has only recently discovered. Ancient mankind worked with the electromagnetism of the earth and certain cycles of nature, it took many thousands of years to map and track the stars and measure the effects of time and energy ...History, myths, and legends remind us of customs and knowledge possessed by shamans and religious practicioners which survived into modern times. The author explores Sumerian myths, Celtic traditions, the Hindu gods and godesses, Egyptian religous symbols, the Minoan cultural beliefs, Christian symbols and architecture, Judaic stories, and finds unique connections. Of particular interest was the chapter on towers and pyramids. It turns out the Great Pyramid of Giza was actually used as a "gateway to other worlds" which means the Egyptians had ceremonies where energy converged within the pyramid based on scientific principles, some of which are quantum in nature. There is a connection between the pyramids and altered states of consciousness which the author describes. Another fascinating discussion is about how rocks, stones, and even the soil can act as an antenna to collect magnetic energy waves. Ancient towers were built as "earth antennas" to generage electromagnetic energy. Another enlightening discovery was the sound frequency of the earth, which is F sharp. Amazingly, Dr. David Deamer a professor of chemistry and biochemistry at the University of California in 1988 researched the

A Unique Explanation of Ancient Mysteries

Mr. Gardiner does an excellent job of examining the ancient mysteries of Stonehenge, Avebury, the Great Pyramid, Crystal Skulls and other unexplained phenomena, ultimately creating a very plausible theory that these items represent gateways into other worlds through the magnification and alteration of human consciousness. Although this work is beyond the current realm of mainstream scientific thought, it is carefully researched and the conclusions are difficult to dispute. This is not a light, New Age lark, but rather a serious scientific examination of ancient history and its relationship to current scientfic thought.

How did it start and where does it end?

Gardiner has put together an excellent review of the many mysteries of life that have challenged man ever since his beginnings. He looks at the various religions, beliefs, legends, mysteries, science, superstitions, cults, symbols, unexplained phenomena, ancient organzations and artifacts,ESP,philosophies, phychotropic experiences, and a wide range of forces;all in an effort to determine if there is an Otherworld and what are the ways it can be approached. As he looks at the ancient, as well as current religions ,he sees many of the same elements present in all of them. He shows how the peoples who have preceeded us by many thousands of years have shown that their grasp of knowledge was much greater than we can ever imagine was possible. This wisdom and knowledge has left a continuous trail of evidence that even today we are unable to understand or explain. Our culture today leads us to believe there is an answer to all questions and through science ,deduction and reasoning;we can find them. This leads to the conclusion that man is supreme and there is no higher order than himself. We have come to believe that the human mind can understand everything. All one has to do is look at history and see how little man has really understood over the ages and how little he really knows in the overall scheme of things. This book asks a lot of questions, but like many other books on the subject, has few answers. As much as the amount of knowledge of mandkind grows;the simple questions remain.Where did we come from? why are we here, and where are we headed?Couple that with, are there others in Otherworlds;and you begin to see the great mysteries of science and life. This book is much more than a guick read and provides an extensive reference source for further reading, study or explanation of many things you will come across in reading about ancient and current religions, cultures, beliefs, and so forth.

A fascinating investigation into possibilities of other worlds.

We've all wondered if there really is life after death. We've all wondered if there is life that we can't see, souls among us that are not visible to our eyes but felt in our heart. This book examines these and other subjects. It examines ESP. It looks at the Pryamids. But what I found most fascinating was that the book makes the argument that ancient man was much more aware and attuned to the world than we heretofore believed. They knew "their place in the universe." The book looks into many mysterious issues that people from the beginning have wondered about. The book is easy to read and well structured. It provides what could be considered a good deal of evidence. Whether you end out believing or not, this book is well worth reading. Highly recommended.
