An excellent reference book for planning a garden

The book has beautiful illustrations and is well organized. Often when I am searching for a new climber to plant in my garden or in my garden room (indoor), I find catalogues require more description. The thought of purchasing a plant and then placing it in an undesirable location is abominable. Climbers have always presented challenges in my garden. My entire garden has shade at different times of the day. So I had been searching for a book which would provide a lot of detail. In my opinion, the book is worthwhile. My suggestion for a reprint is to have a section on planting, propogation and pruning. Also, include a discussion on zones. At this point in my gardening career, I am accustomed to thinking of zones, soil PH, and other important factors which help a plant survive. I am always interested in propagation. These days many gardeners discuss microclimates in their own gardens. It would be worthwhile to discuss the effects of wind, rain, bugs, sun etc on the plants too.
