Oh, if only it kept going

This final volume of the three-volume Gankutsuou manga focuses sharply on the Count himself, and the culmination of his revenge plot against Villefort. It's perhaps the darkest and most twisted of the three books, featuring some pleasantly gut-wrenching depictions of physical and psychological torture. If you thought Villefort had it bad in the anime you'll almost pity him for his conclusion in the manga. Recommended highly.
